Warning signals in pregnancy--

Any swelling of the legs ; especially if it is seen even in the morning after complete night sleep.

Severe vomiting-- some amount of vomiting is common especially in first pregnancy ;however if it continues or becomes severe then it may be dangerous.

Any bleeding per vagina at any stage of pregnancy.

Passage of any mass per vagina.

Weight gain that is more than 0.5 kg per week or more than 2.5 kg per month.

Any convulsive episode ( "fit attack" as commonly called ) at any stage of pregnancy.

Passage of clear fluid per vagina especially when nearing full term.

Decrease/ stopping of fetal movements.

Pregnancies with special risk--

Previous cesarean section

Woman with first pregnancy after the age of 30 years.

Pregnancy with history of multiple abortions.

Hypertensive( raised blood pressure) patient

Diabetic patient.

Patient with heart diseases.

Gynecological disorders with pregnancy.
