Spacer devices in asthma .. correct use

How to use the inhaler with a spacer device?--

Hold the 2 parts of the spacer.
Join them together by lining up the notch on the one half with the slot on the other.
Press the two halves together.
Before using the spacer gently shake it.
The small plastic valve in the mouthpiece should rattle. If it does not, then it may require cleaning. Remove the cap from the inhaler & shake it thoroughly.
Put the mouthpiece of the inhaler into the hole of the spacer at the end opposite the mouthpiece.
Hold the spacer & pump the dose of the medicine into the spacer.
Place your lips around the mouthpiece straight away, then breathe in slowly 7 deeply through the mouth. Hold the breath for 10 seconds & then breathe out slowly.
If you take a second dose ,wait for a minute & then take the second dose.
